I have even more lipstick for you today…yes more M.A.C. lipstick. This one is Rebel.
Since buying Impassioned I’ve really been trying hard to try other lipstick colours besides red. I went out with Delly over the weekend, this of course meant going to a M.A.C. store as it is our latest obsession. There she managed to convince me that I needed Rebel in my life and that I should also get Cyber. Delly is biased and thinks I look lovely in everything so I took it for a road test yesterday at work and I can’t say I feel in love just yet BUT its one wicked lipstick!
It looks soooo dark in the tube its almost off putting, but when you get it on…
BAM! Sexy purple lipstick
Excuse the wild and wooly hair, but I wanted to show you what this lipstick looks like on me. I totally forgot to put some blush on so I’m a little washed out. But I really like it (if I do say so myself). Its such a different lipstick and I feel so good wearing it.
Just like all my M.A.C. lipsticks it goes on perfect, lasts for ages and looks fantastic!!
I admit M.A.C. is not cheap, but it really is worth what you pay. If you want one fantastic lipstick to wear everyday I would highly recommend a M.A.C. lipstick. Go see your local M.A.C. people they will help you find that perfect lipstick for you and if you want something out there they like Rebel their the place to go.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!
So ahh in about three weeks I have taken my M.A.C. lipstick collection from one to six XD Delly and I went out shopping Saturday and I indoctrinated her into the M.A.C. world and of course I picked up two new lipsticks (they are soon to come). So since my collection is rapidly growing I thought I better catch up on sharing them with you. So my next lipstick after Ruby Woo that I got from M.A.C. is Impassioned.
When I went in for a mascara I turned around from the counter and saw this beauty out of the crowd of lipsticks. I knew then that I had to get it even though it was crazy bright pink which is totally out there from what I usually wear.
I finally had enough guts to wear this week, I also wore cat ears while I was wearing it. When people weren’t noticing the ears they were complimenting me on my lipstick. I think now that I’ve worn it a few time now it doesn’t feel as bright. But! Its time for you to take a look.
Despite the crap weather I managed to get myself some okish photos of my new mascara M.A.C.’s Extended Play Gigablack Lask Mascara. I’ve recently been replacing my makeup with M.A.C., I know some of you will groan about the price, but golly it is worth it. This mascara is one of the latest ones from M.A.C., I walked in the other day and said “I want a black, waterproof mascara that just colours my lashes nothing more” BOOM! They did it, the M.A.C. people at my local store never fail to deliver.
M.A.C. has this to say about the Extended Play Gigablack Lask Mascara:
“A lightweight curling, lifting mascara in an intense carbon black pigment. Applies with a petite gripper brush embedded with micro-spheres to give each lash effortless, upward bending definition and extreme volume. Easy wash-off formula. Smudge-free. Lasts 16 hours.”
A few weeks ago Ninja Polish released more of their Enigma collection. I already had Ambrosia and Divinity from this collection and has been lusting over Shillelagh which was released for Saint Patrick’s day. With the release of the next four polishes they restocked the entire collection. Delly got me out of bed early to make sure we both got a bottle each XD Today I am sharing with you Shillelagh. Every Ninja Polish has a little blurb about it’s name so here it is directly from Ninja Polish’s page:
“shil·le·lagh: Noun - An irish word for a cudgel made of blackthorn, oak, or other hardwoods. Usually slightly smaller than a walking stick or cane. Good for quick repetitious beating of individuals. Also used by some witty Irish males to refer to their ..er…um….well you can figure it out! Also known to be used by Leprechauns to call their rainbows! “
I get to show off some lipstick today and yes it is red, but my most favourite of reds; M.A.C. Ruby Woo.
Not so long ago I got my first lot of M.A.C. makeup and since then I had fallen in love with the brand. I picked up a powder and lipstick from an importer clearance to give them a try before diving in boots in all to get more (as M.A.C. is not cheap in NZ). The lipstick I picked up was Ruby Woo, a beautiful red lipstick with a matte finish. It very quickly became my most favourite lipstick to wear, unfortunately due to the way in which you have to apply this lipstick I managed to snap it and mushed on the floor of my bathroom. I texted Mr Gabby as I stood there pouting at my most favourite lipstick mushed on the floor and he was kind enough to rescue me and buy me another one. He really is a saint <3
If you paint your nails you would be very much aware of the benefits of a base coat and top coat. There are so many out that vary in uses and in prices. I have tried quite a few and have come to settle on Seche Vite and Seche Rebuild. Seche Vite is a quick drying top coat and Seche Rebuild is a nail rebuild base coat. I thought it was about time that I shared a review of these two for you.
How have you been? I am at home today trying to get rid of a possible cold before it turns into the plague. The weather has been forgiving enough for me today to get you some photos of my recent purchases.
Where to start with this beauty? So I’ve recently decided to make the switch to M.A.C. cosmetics as my base makeup. It is something I have been thinking about for a while, because M.A.C. is not cheap here in New Zealand. I think for me the reasons to change to M.A.C. are I’m sick of having makeup that is close enough. Sometimes I’m lucky to find a brand that has a foundation light enough for me, but even then they’re usually the wrong tone. Then they don’t last very long or they dry my skin out. Then goodness forbid if you want to ask they lady behind the counter about one of the products. When I walked into M.A.C. to pick up Ronnie Red when the Archie’s Girls collection was released I was amazed at how well they new their collections. The staff actually seemed interested in helping me out.
I took the plunge a few weeks ago and went and looked at their foundations and was impressed at the variety and the interest from the staff to help me find the right product for me. When I asked about a primer that would go with the Pro Longwear foundation and concealer I was purchasing the M.A.C. lady was able to instantly come up with two suggestions for me and help me then narrow it down to one.
The Primer I came away with was M.A.C.’s Prep and Prime Skin.
Where do my days keeping disappearing to? This post has just been sitting in my draft box all week waiting to have words attached to it and only now have I forced myself to finish it!
Today’s post is about Essie‘s Shine of the Time from the Luxe effect collection. I picked this beauty up for $6.00 NZD from the local importer clearance sale. Usually you have to fork out $30 NZD for this one here in NZ, if you can find it. Today I’ve layered it over black, red and blue to show you what it looks like.
Good Evening Sweeties!
How have you all been? I have been hiding away from the stormy weather with Mr Gabby watching movies and playing video games. So far I have seen Olympus has Fallen, Oblivion and Iron Man 3. All very good movies. There was some sun today so I managed to swatch one of the polishes I have been hanging out to share with you. I enjoy the cold weather, but hate how I can’t swatch as much
Anyway today’s polish is Ninja Polish‘s Ambrosia from the Enigma collection.
How has your week been? My has been busy; I flew down south to watch Mr Gabby’s graduation parade and after that we have done nothing but watch movies and go shopping all weekend. It was awesome!
So my post today is all about Jinx from the OPI‘s Bond Girl Liquid Sand Collection. Usually I do not do textured polish and I had been a bit meh about OPI’s previous liquid sands. However when I was out with Mr Gabby he thought the colour was pretty bad ass, now when Mr Gabby likes a polish I don’t argue and I just buy it. And I’m really glad I did, because Jinx is gorgeous!
Have a look at the photos (there is a few of them cause Jinx can be hard to get photos of) and I’m sure you’ll need it too!
